Although I was not obese as a child or in early adulthood, I had early signs that this would be a challenge in the future, having had gestational diabetes with both of my children (son, age 24, daughter, age 16), and significant weight gain with my son. á Both PCOS and fibromyalgia cause weight gain, as does insulin resistance.
